Yamba Acupuncture offers holistic Chinese Medicine to the local Clarence River community and visitors.

Sally Coltman is the principle practitioner and owner of Yamba Acupuncture, specialising in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Sally has over fifteen years' experience in the holistic health industry and an array of advanced degrees in Acupuncture and Health Science. She creates tailored treatment plans to meet the individual needs of her clients, drawing from her deep understanding of Chinese Medicine.

Sally is registered with national accreditation bodies (AHPRA and the AACMA), and supplies herbs certified by the TGA and CITES.

Acupuncture works through channels, meridians and specific points to balance the body systems. Acupuncture aims to

re-align the body and mind, improve and restore normal function and help relieve pain and discomfort.

At Yamba Acupuncture you will receive a personal consultation and diagnosis before any acupuncture is given. Depending on your specific needs, other therapies such as cupping and moxibustion may be combined in your treatment to improve overall results.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Chinese Herbal Formulas aim to improve body functions and to alleviate specific health conditions.

Herbal remedies prescribed at Yamba Acupuncture are formulated based on Classical Chinese Medicine. The practitioner will check the patients pulses and in combination with patient signs and symptoms, herbal formulas will be prescribed and dispensed for the individual’s needs.

Sally holds a Master of Applied Science specialising in Chinese Herbs from RMIT and is registered for prescribing and dispensing Chinese Herbs with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).

All Chinese herbs dispensed by Sally are approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and CITES.

At Yamba Acupuncture Chinese Herbal Medicine consultations are covered by Health Funds.

The clinic has a range of herbal medicines available to suit all needs including:

dissolvable granules
traditional raw herbs (to be boiled on stove top)
classical pills and powders made from ancient formulas.

All herbs are sourced and selected carefully by Sally, making sure they are they highest quality available. They are all laboratory analysed for active ingredients and to ensure they are free of heavy metals, pesticides, aflatoxins. All herbs are sourced from established farms or ethically wild crafted sources and are traceable from the farm to you.
